A lockable external override is suitable for customers who do not have a second entrance into their garage. A small hole would need to be drilled though the wall at waist height. A combination of universal joints and rods are connected to the internal manual override system of the motor. A small lockable plate would be visible from the outside. An external winding handle is provided so that in the event of power failure, this is inserted through the wall and connects to the internal gearing to wind the door up manually.
